Design Vision
Funda controlled 90% of the Dutch housing market, which made it easy to stop evolving. The design vision challenged that complacency with a clear direction for what Funda could become.
2023
Market dominance is a double-edged thing. Funda's position meant there was little competitive pressure to modernise, and it showed. Teams were focused on incremental improvements with no shared sense of where the product was heading.
Over three months I developed a design vision for the second half of the year: a rationale for change, a strategic direction for the platform, and a new navigation model that surfaced key features and boosted premium listing visibility. The vision was roadshowed across departments to build alignment and bridge the gap between design and business.

Funda
Funda controls 90% of the Dutch housing market. That dominance had become a reason to stand still. As Head of UX I worked on two fronts: sharpening a feature that sits at the heart of every house hunt, and making the case for modernising the platform as a whole.
